Decadent Chocolate Coffee Cake

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well until all dry ingredients are evenly distributed.

3.In another bowl, cream the softened butter until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

4.Pour in the cooled brewed coffee and vanilla extract into the butter and egg mixture. Mix until combined.

5.Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

6.Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

7.Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8.Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

9.Once the cake is completely cool, drizzle the caramel syrup generously over the top of the cake before serving.
