Sweet and Savory Cheese Flan

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2.In a mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, cream cheese, whole milk, granulated sugar, cornstarch, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Use a hand mixer or a whisk to blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

3.Pour the mixture into a greased 9-inch round baking dish or flan mold.

4.Prepare a water bath by placing the baking dish in a larger baking pan. Fill the larger pan with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the flan dish.

5.Bake in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes, or until the flan is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6.Once baked, remove the flan from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to fully set.

7.To serve, run a knife around the edges of the flan to loosen it, then invert it onto a serving plate. The flan should slide out easily, and you can drizzle any caramel sauce over the top if desired.
