Spooky Pumpkin Soup

1.Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened and translucent.

2.Stir in the garlic, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper, and salt. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

3.Add the pumpkin puree and vegetable broth. Stir well to combine and bring to a gentle boil.

4.Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5.Stir in the heavy cream and maple syrup. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.

6.Use an immersion blender (or transfer to a blender in batches) to puree the soup until completely smooth and creamy.

7.Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Ladle the soup into bowls.

8.To create the spooky spiderweb design, drizzle a spiral of extra heavy cream on top of each bowl. Use a toothpick or skewer to drag lines from the center outward, forming a web pattern.

9.Garnish with pumpkin seeds and a sprinkle of chives or parsley. Serve immediately.
