Easy and Delicious Chocolate Cake

Preparation Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

Cake Batter In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3.Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.

4.Stir in the boiling water. The batter will be thin, but that's okay.

5.Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.

Baking Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.

7.Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Then transfer the cakes to a wire rack to cool completely.

Chocolate Ganache While the cakes are cooling, prepare the chocolate ganache. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.

9.Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

10.Let the ganache cool slightly, then pour it over one of the cooled cakes. Place the other cake on top and pour the remaining ganache over the top.

Decoration If desired, decorate the cake with powdered sugar and chocolate shavings.

12.Slice and serve the delicious chocolate cake!
