Cheesy Sausage Bread

Preparing the Dough In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, warm water, melted butter, and egg. Mix well until a shaggy dough forms.

3.Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Preparing the Topping Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangular shape. Spread the ketchup and mayonnaise over the dough.

5.Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the sauce. Place the sliced sausages on top of the cheese.

6.Starting from one long side, tightly roll up the dough into a log. Pinch the edges to seal.

Baking Transfer the rolled dough onto a greased baking sheet. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise for another 30 minutes.

8.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
