Chocolate Banana Cream Cake

Preparation Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a round cake pan.

Cake Batter In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream, milk, eggs, flour, cocoa powder, and melted chocolate until smooth.

Baking the Cake Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.

Banana Filling To make the banana filling, mash the ripe bananas in a saucepan. Add the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Remove from heat and let it cool.

Assembling the Cake Once the cake and banana filling have cooled, carefully slice the cake in half horizontally. Spread the banana filling evenly over the bottom cake layer. Place the top cake layer back on.

Whipped Cream Topping In a separate mixing bowl, whip the cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the top and sides of the cake. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
