Creamy Garlic Penne Pasta with Spinach and Parmesan

1.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2.In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

3.Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.

4.Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.

5.Combine the cooked penne pasta with the creamy spinach sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.

6.Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
