Chicken Wings in Sweet and Sour Sauce

Marinate the chicken wings In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken wings and toss to coat. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Bake the chicken wings Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the marinated chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.

Make the sweet and sour sauce In a saucepan, combine ketchup, white vinegar, soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, red pepper flakes (optional), and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.

Coat the wings in the sauce Place the baked chicken wings in a bowl. Pour the sweet and sour sauce over the wings and toss to coat.

Garnish and serve Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot.
