Sweet Brown Sugar Crescent Rolls

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Mix well.

2.In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, egg, and 1/4 cup softened butter.

3.Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms.

4.On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 6-8 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

5.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

6.In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Set aside.

7.Once the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface. Roll the dough into a 12x18 inch rectangle.

8.Spread the melted butter over the dough, then evenly sprinkle the brown sugar mixture on top.

9.Starting from the long side, tightly roll up the dough into a log, then cut into 12 equal pieces.

10.Place the rolls cut side down in a greased baking pan. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

11.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

12.Bake the rolls for about 25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
