Sweet Maida Cookies

1.Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2.In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3.Add the vanilla extract and mix well.

4.In a separate bowl, sift together the maida, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

5.Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until combined.

6.If the dough is too dry, add milk a tablespoon at a time until you achieve a soft, pliable dough.

7.Take small portions of the dough and roll them into balls, then flatten them slightly and place them on the prepared baking tray, leaving space between each cookie.

8.Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

9.Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
