Herb-Infused Focaccia Delight

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well to combine all the dry ingredients.

2.Add the warm water and 1/4 cup of olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.

3.Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4.Place the kneaded dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.

5.Once the dough has risen, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

6.Grease a baking sheet or a large cast-iron skillet with olive oil.

7.Transfer the risen dough to the prepared baking sheet and gently stretch it out to fit the pan. If the dough resists, let it rest for a few minutes before continuing to stretch.

8.Using your fingers, create dimples all over the surface of the dough. Drizzle extra olive oil over the top, ensuring it seeps into the dimples.

9.Sprinkle the chopped fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, and oregano) evenly over the dough, followed by a generous sprinkle of flaky sea salt.

10.Let the dough rest for another 20-30 minutes to rise slightly before baking.

11.Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the focaccia is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

12.Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
