Classic Sticky Maple BBQ Chicken Bites

1.Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

2.In a medium bowl, toss the cubed chicken pieces with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

3.Arrange the seasoned chicken pieces in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they do not touch.

4.In a small saucepan, whisk together all the Maple BBQ Sauce ingredients: ketchup, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).

5.Bring the sauce mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the sauce has slightly thickened. Remove from heat.

6.Brush about half of the prepared BBQ sauce generously over the top and sides of the chicken pieces.

7.Bake the chicken for 15 minutes. Remove the tray from the oven, flip the chicken pieces, and brush the remaining sauce over them.

8.Return the chicken to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature reaches 74°C/165°F) and the sauce is deeply caramelized and sticky.

9.Remove from the oven. Let the bites rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and sesame seeds before serving immediately.
