Preparation of the dough In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, butter, sugar, eggs, salt, and ground cinnamon. Mix until the dough is formed. If needed, add a little water to make the dough more pliable.

Rolling out the dough Divide the dough into two equal portions. Roll out one portion on a floured surface to fit the bottom of a greased baking dish.

Preparing the filling In a separate bowl, combine the sliced apples, raisins, chopped almonds, sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Mix well.

Adding the filling Spread the filling evenly over the rolled-out dough in the baking dish.

Covering the filling Roll out the second portion of dough and place it over the filling, sealing the edges.

Preparing the sauce In a small saucepan, melt the butter for the sauce. Stir in the sugar and ground cinnamon until well combined.

Adding the sauce Pour the sauce over the top of the dough in the baking dish.

Baking the pie Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

Cooling and serving Let the pie cool for a few minutes before serving. It can be served warm or at room temperature.
