Pelmeni with Meat

Prepare the Dough In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the water and egg. Mix until a dough forms.

Rest the Dough Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Cover with a damp cloth and let rest for 30 minutes.

Make the Filling In a separate mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Shape the Pelmeni Roll out the dough on a floured surface until it is about 1/16 inch thick. Using a round cookie cutter or a glass, cut out circles of dough.

Fill and Seal the Pelmeni Place a small amount of filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the circle in half and pinch the edges together to seal the dumpling. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.

Cook the Pelmeni Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pelmeni and cook until they float to the surface, about 3-4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and serve hot.
