Preparation Place the ribeye steaks on a clean surface and pat them dry with paper towels. Cooking Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, sear the marinated steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they develop a rich, caramelized crust. Reduce the heat to medium and add the rum to the skillet, allowing it to gently flambe the steaks for an additional burst of flavor. Continue cooking the steaks to the desired level of doneness, about 5-7 minutes for medium-rare. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
