Thanksgiving Turkey with Sweet Potato Mash and Garlic Green Beans

Preparation 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Rinse the turkey and pat it dry with paper towels. Preparing the Sweet Potato Mash

Turkey 1. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper. Brush the turkey with this mixture, ensuring it's well coated.

2.2. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for about 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Cover with foil if needed to prevent the skin from burning.

Sweet Potato Mash 1. Boil the sweet potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

4.2. Add butter, heavy cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt to the sweet potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Garlic Green Beans 1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

6.2. Add the green beans and sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp. Season with salt and pepper.

7.3. Serve the turkey slices with a generous dollop of sweet potato mash and a side of garlic green beans. Enjoy your delicious Thanksgiving meal!
