Creepy Bleeding Halloween Cupcakes

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well until combined.

3.Add the softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk to the dry ingredients. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes until smooth.

4.Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is well combined. The batter will be thin, which is normal.

5.Pour the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.

6.Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

7.Once the cupcakes are cool, use a small knife or a cupcake corer to remove a small portion from the center of each cupcake, creating a hole for the filling.

8.Fill each hole with raspberry jam, allowing it to overflow slightly to create a 'bleeding' effect.

9.In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form. You can add a few drops of black food coloring to the whipped cream to create a spooky color.

10.Frost the top of each cupcake with the black whipped cream using a piping bag or a spatula.

11.To finish, drizzle some red food coloring over the top of the cupcakes to mimic blood and place an edible eyeball on top for decoration.
