Heavenly Homemade Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting

1.In a small saucepan, heat the milk until warm but not boiling. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar and butter until melted. Let it cool to lukewarm.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of the flour and the yeast. Add the lukewarm milk mixture, eggs, and salt. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping the bowl constantly. Increase to high speed and beat for 3 minutes.

3.Stir in the remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until the dough is soft and slightly sticky. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 to 1.5 hours.

5.Punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a 16x21-inch rectangle.

6.Brush the melted butter over the dough. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the buttered dough.

7.Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 12 equal slices and place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

8.Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise again until nearly doubled, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

9.Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.

10.While the rolls are baking, prepare the frosting. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk, beating until creamy and smooth.

11.Spread the cream cheese frosting over the warm cinnamon rolls. Serve immediately and enjoy the heavenly taste!
