Classic Genovese Pesto: A Basil Lover's Dream

1.Start by washing the fresh basil leaves thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess water.

2.In a dry skillet over medium heat, lightly toast the pine nuts for about 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently until they are golden brown and fragrant. Be careful not to burn them. Remove from heat and let cool.

3.In a food processor, combine the toasted pine nuts, garlic cloves, and a pinch of salt. Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped.
