Frozen Banana 'Nice Cream' with Dark Chocolate Chunks

1.Place the sliced bananas in a freezer-safe bag or container and freeze for a minimum of 4 hours, or until completely solid.

2.Once frozen, transfer the banana pieces to a high-powered food processor or a very strong blender.

3.Pulse the frozen bananas until they break down into small crumbles. Scrape down the sides as needed.

4.Add the almond milk (if using), vanilla extract, and salt. Continue processing. The mixture will look crumbly at first, then suddenly transform into a smooth, soft-serve consistency, similar to thick ice cream. This may take 3-5 minutes, depending on your machine.

5.If the mixture is too thick to blend, add the almond milk one tablespoon at a time, blending thoroughly after each addition, until the desired creamy texture is achieved.

6.Gently fold in the dark chocolate chunks using a spatula.

7.Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container and freeze for an additional 1-2 hours for a firmer, scoopable ice cream consistency.
