Prepare the Pastry In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt for the pastry.

2.Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Prepare the Salt Filling Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

6.In a mixing bowl, combine the coarse sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and olive oil.

7.Mix well until the salt is evenly coated with the seasonings.

Assemble the Bars of Salt Remove the pastry dough from the refrigerator and divide it into two equal portions.

9.On a lightly floured surface, roll out one portion of the pastry into a rectangle about 1/8 inch thick.

10.Spread half of the salt filling evenly over the rolled out pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.

11.Gently roll up the pastry, starting from one of the long sides, into a tight log.

12.Repeat the process with the remaining portion of dough and salt filling.

13.Using a sharp knife, slice each log into 1/2 inch thick bars.

14.Place the bars of salt on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Bars of Salt Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.

16.Allow the bars of salt to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
