Red Wine Sauce

Step 1 In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Step 2 Add the minced shallot and garlic to the saucepan and sauté until fragrant.

Step 3 Sprinkle the flour over the shallot and garlic mixture and cook for a few minutes to remove the raw flour taste.

Step 4 Slowly pour in the red wine while whisking constantly to prevent lumps.

Step 5 Add the beef broth, herb mixture, salt, and pepper to the saucepan.

Step 6 Simmer the sauce over low heat for about 20 minutes, or until it has thickened to your desired consistency.

Step 7 Remove the herb sprigs and bay leaves from the sauce.

Step 8 Serve the red wine sauce hot with grilled meats.
