Pan-Fried Hake with Lemon Butter Sauce

1.Season the hake fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.

2.Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

3.Add the hake fillets to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

4.Remove the hake fillets from the skillet and set aside.

5.In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat.

6.Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

7.Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and chicken broth to the skillet.

8.Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly reduced.

9.Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

10.Return the hake fillets to the skillet and spoon the lemon butter sauce over the top.

11.Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the fish is heated through.

12.Serve the pan-fried hake fillets with lemon wedges and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
