Perfectly Boiled Egg

1.Place the egg in a small saucepan and add enough water to cover the egg by about an inch.

2.Bring the water to a boil over high heat.

3.Once the water reaches a rolling boil, reduce the heat to low and let the egg simmer for 7 minutes for a medium-soft boiled egg or 9 minutes for a firmer yolk.

4.While the egg is cooking, prepare a bowl of ice water.

5.After the cooking time is up, carefully remove the egg from the hot water and place it in the bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.

6.Let the egg sit in the ice water for 2 minutes.

7.Peel the egg under cool, running water to make it easier to remove the shell.

8.Enjoy your perfectly boiled egg!
