Perfectly Boiled Egg

1.Place the egg in a saucepan and cover it with cold water.

2.Place the saucepan on the stove over high heat and bring the water to a boil.

3.Once the water reaches a rolling boil, reduce the heat to low and let the egg simmer for 8-10 minutes for a medium-boiled egg or 12-14 minutes for a hard-boiled egg.

4.While the egg is cooking, prepare a bowl of ice water.

5.After the cooking time is up, immediately transfer the egg to the bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.

6.Let the egg sit in the ice water for 5 minutes to cool down completely.

7.Gently tap the egg on a hard surface to crack the shell, then peel the shell off carefully.

8.Your perfectly boiled egg is ready to be enjoyed!
