Fluffy Buttermilk Biscuits

1.Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2.In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3.Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

4.Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.

5.Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together.

6.Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick rectangle. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

7.Gently re-roll the scraps and cut out more biscuits until all the dough is used.

8.Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
