Creamy Garlic Fettuccine Alfredo

1.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.

2.In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

3.Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper. Continue to stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.

4.Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.

5.Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
