Cinnamon Apple Cream Cheese Danish Delight

1.In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.

2.In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.

3.Add the melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.

4.Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

5.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

6.While the dough is rising, prepare the apple filling. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until apples are tender. Stir in raisins if using. Remove from heat and let cool.
