Vodka Salami Grilled Cheese

1.Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.

2.Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, allowing it to melt and coat the pan.

3.Place one slice of bread, mayonnaise side down, in the skillet. Layer with 2 slices of American cheese, followed by the Genoa salami slices, and then drizzle 2 tablespoons of vodka sauce over the salami.

4.Top with the second slice of American cheese, and then place the second slice of bread on top, mayonnaise side up.

5.Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom slice of bread is golden brown and crispy. Carefully flip the sandwich using a spatula.

6.Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. If desired, press down slightly with the spatula for even grilling.

7.Remove from the skillet and let it sit for a minute before slicing in half. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
