Burger Patty In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Burger Patty Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape each part into a patty.

Burger Patty Heat a grill or pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are cooked through.

Sauce While the patties are cooking, prepare the sauce by mixing together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.

Assembly Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

Assembly Spread a tablespoon of the sauce on each bun. Place a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun.

Assembly Top the patties with a slice of cheese and allow it to melt slightly.

Assembly Add lettuce leaves, tomato slices, onion slices, and pickles on top of the cheese.
