Energy-Boost Cookies

Preparation of the Cookie Dough In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in the oats, chocolate chips, and chopped nuts. Cover and chill the dough for 30 minutes.

Preparation of the Energy-Boosting Mix In a separate bowl, mix together the brewed green tea, honey, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, and chia seeds. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to combine.

Cookie Assembly Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Drop rounded spoonfuls of chilled cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Flatten each cookie slightly with the back of a spoon. Spoon a small amount of the energy-boosting mix onto the center of each cookie. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
