Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Boiling the Potatoes Place the peeled and quartered potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are very tender. This should take about 15-20 minutes.

Mashing the Potatoes Drain the potatoes well and return them to the pot. Add the butter and mash the potatoes using a potato masher until smooth.

Adding the Cream Pour in the heavy cream and mix it well into the mashed potatoes until creamy.

Seasoning Season with salt and pepper to taste. Optional: For a unique flavor, add 1/2 cup buttermilk with a dash of dried dill leaves and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder.
