Ultimate Ice Cream Cake

1.Take the vanilla ice cream out of the freezer and let it soften for about 10 minutes.

2.Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies in a zip-top bag until they form fine crumbs.

3.Mix the cookie crumbs with melted butter in a bowl to create the crust mixture.

4.Press the crust mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form the cake base.

5.Place the pan in the freezer to set the crust for about 15 minutes.

6.In a separate bowl, combine the chocolate chips and chopped nuts.

7.Remove the vanilla ice cream from the freezer and spread it evenly over the crust in the pan.

8.Sprinkle half of the chocolate chip and nut mixture over the vanilla ice cream layer.

9.Return the pan to the freezer to allow the layers to set for about 30 minutes.

10.Take the chocolate ice cream out of the freezer and let it soften for about 10 minutes.

11.In another bowl, mix the softened chocolate ice cream with whipped cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.

12.Spread the chocolate ice cream mixture over the set vanilla ice cream layer in the pan.

13.Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chip and nut mixture on top of the chocolate ice cream layer.

14.Cover the pan with plastic wrap and freeze the ice cream cake for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm.

15.Before serving, remove the cake from the freezer, release it from the springform pan, and slice into portions.
