Classic Beef Lasagne

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2.In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent.

3.Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, then stir in the chopped parsley. Remove from heat.

4.In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, and Parmesan cheese until well combined.

5.To assemble the lasagne, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Place 3 lasagne noodles on top, followed by a third of the ricotta mixture, a third of the mozzarella cheese, and a third of the remaining meat sauce. Repeat layers two more times, ending with the meat sauce on top.

6.Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

7.Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the lasagne is bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden brown.

8.Let the lasagne rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your delicious Classic Beef Lasagne!
