Cheesy Mushroom and Ground Beef Casserole

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2.In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.

3.Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.

4.Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.

5.Add the cream of mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Mix well to combine all ingredients.

6.In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef and mushroom mixture with the cooked rice and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until everything is evenly mixed.

7.Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

8.Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top of the casserole, followed by the breadcrumbs for a crunchy topping.

9.Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.

10.Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
