Delicious Layered Cake with Creamy Frosting

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2.Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

3.In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

4.Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

5.In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined and smooth.

6.Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans.

7.Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

11.Place the second layer on top of the first and frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining frosting.
