Savory Vetkoek with Spicy Mince Filling

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

2.Gradually add warm water and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.

3.Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

5.While the dough is rising, prepare the spicy mince filling. In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.

6.Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until the onion is translucent.

7.Add the minced beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned.
