Baked Chicken with Garlic Parmesan Cream

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2.Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

3.Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove skillet from heat.

4.In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes if using. Stir well to blend.

5.Pour the garlic Parmesan cream sauce evenly over the seared chicken breasts in the skillet.

6.Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened.

7.Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
