Boiled Dumplings

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and water. Stir until a dough forms.

2.Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Cover the dough with a clean towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.

3.In another mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped cabbage, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

4.Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a thin circle about 3 inches in diameter.

5.Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough circle.

6.Fold the dough in half to form a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal the dumpling.

7.Repeat the process with the remaining dough and filling.

8.Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully drop the dumplings into the boiling water and cook for about 8-10 minutes or until they float to the surface and the dough is cooked through.

9.While the dumplings are cooking, prepare the dipping sauce by combining soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and chili oil (optional) in a small bowl. Stir well to mix all the ingredients.

10.Once the dumplings are cooked, remove them from the water using a slotted spoon and serve hot with the dipping sauce.
