Preparation Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt for the dough. Add the cold, cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or your hands to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Dough Gradually add the ice water, a tablespoon at a time, and mix until the dough comes together. Form the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Filling In a separate bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt for the filling.

5.Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out on a floured surface to fit the pie dish. Transfer the dough to the greased pie dish and press it into the bottom and sides.

6.Pour the apple filling into the pie crust and spread it out evenly.

Topping In a small bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, melted butter, and salt for the topping. Mix until crumbly.

8.Sprinkle the topping over the apple filling in the pie dish.

Baking Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

10.Remove from the oven and let the pie cool before serving.
