Milk Sugar Bread

1.In a small bowl, mix the yeast with 1/4 cup of warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.

3.Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and milk to the dry ingredients. Mix well until a dough forms.

4.Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

5.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

6.Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.

7.Cover and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes.

8.Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

9.Brush the top of the loaf with beaten egg for a shiny finish.

10.Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown.

11.Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing and serving.
