Birthday Stew

1.In a large pot, heat oil over medium-high heat.

2.Add the beef stew meat and chicken thighs. Brown the meat on all sides for about 5 minutes.

3.Add the onion, carrots, celery, potatoes, peas, and garlic to the pot. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes until vegetables start to soften.

4.Stir in the bay leaf, paprika, thyme, black pepper, beef broth, tomato paste, and flour. Mix well to combine all ingredients.

5.Bring the stew to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally until the meats are tender and the flavors meld together.

6.Pour in the red wine and let it simmer for an additional 10 minutes to enhance the richness of the stew.
