Coconut Milk Cake with a Sweet Sugar Glaze

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar and milk. Whisk together until the sugar is fully dissolved.

3.Add the shredded coconut to the sugar and milk mixture, stirring well to combine.

4.In a separate bowl, sift together the wheat flour and baking powder.

5.Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

6.Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.

7.Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8.Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
