Savory Onion Garlic Beef Steak with Broccoli and Rice

1.Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.

2.While the rice is cooking, season the beef steaks with salt, pepper, and dried thyme on both sides. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate, covered with foil to keep warm.

3.In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onions are translucent and fragrant. Add the soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

4.Add the broccoli florets to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the sauce. Cover the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.

5.Slice the rested beef steaks against the grain. Serve the sliced steak over a bed of rice, topped with the sautéed onions, garlic, and broccoli.
