Pomeranian Party Cake with Carrot and Apple

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a small cake pan or line it with parchment paper.

2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and baking powder. Mix well to ensure the baking powder is evenly distributed.

3.In a separate bowl, mix together the unsweetened applesauce, grated carrots, grated apple, peanut butter, egg, water, and honey (if using). Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

4.Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the cake dense.

5.Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

6.Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

7.Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

8.While the cake is cooling, prepare the frosting by mixing the plain Greek yogurt and peanut butter in a small bowl until smooth and creamy.

9.Once the cake is completely cool, spread the yogurt-peanut butter frosting evenly over the top of the cake.

10.Decorate the cake with additional grated carrots or apple slices if desired, and serve it to your furry friend!
