Honey-Glazed Sugar Cookies

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2.In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

3.Add the honey, egg, and milk to the butter-sugar mixture, and mix until well combined.

4.In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.

5.Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

6.Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

7.Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked, but they will firm up as they cool.

8.While the cookies are baking, prepare the honey glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, honey, and milk in a small bowl until smooth and pourable.

9.Once the cookies are out of the oven, allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

10.Once cooled, drizzle the honey glaze over the cookies using a spoon or a piping bag. Allow the glaze to set before serving.
