Honey-Glazed Baked Ham with Pineapple

1.Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

2.Place the ham on a large roasting pan, cut side down. If desired, score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern and stud with whole cloves for added flavor and presentation.

3.In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is well combined, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

4.Brush half of the honey glaze over the surface of the ham, making sure to get it into the scored cuts if applicable.

5.Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until heated through.

6.Remove the foil and brush the remaining glaze over the ham. Arrange the pineapple slices on top of the ham, securing them with toothpicks if necessary.

7.Return the ham to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 30-45 minutes, basting with the pan juices every 15 minutes, until the ham is caramelized and reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).

8.Once done, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing. Serve warm, garnished with additional pineapple if desired.
