Dark Chocolate Milkshake

1.Place the chopped dark chocolate and granulated sugar in a heatproof bowl.

2.Heat the 30ml of whole milk in a small saucepan over low heat until warm but not boiling.

3.Pour the warm milk over the chocolate and sugar mixture. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes to soften the chocolate.

4.Stir gently until the chocolate and sugar are completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Allow this chocolate base to cool slightly.

5.In a blender, combine the cooled chocolate mixture, 200ml of cold whole milk, ice cubes, and vanilla extract if using.

6.Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and frothy.

7.Pour the milkshake into a chilled glass.

8.Optionally, top with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings or a light dusting of cocoa powder for an elegant finish.

9.Serve immediately with a straw for a refreshing treat.
