Decadent Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan.

2.Prepare the brownie batter according to the package directions, using the brownie mix, vegetable oil, water, and 1 egg. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan and spread evenly.

3.In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in the 2 eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream until just combined.

4.Gently pour the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer in the pan. Dollop the remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake layer and swirl it gently with a knife or toothpick to create a marbled effect.

5.Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour to prevent cracking.

6.Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.

7.To make the ganache, place the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips and let it sit for 5 minutes. Whisk until smooth and glossy.

8.Once the cheesecake is chilled, carefully remove the sides of the springform pan. Pour the chocolate ganache over the top of the cheesecake, allowing it to drip down the sides if desired. Return the cheesecake to the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the ganache to set.

9.Slice and serve chilled.
