5.Place the dough balls on a microwave-safe plate, ensuring they are spaced apart as they will expand slightly.

6.Microwave on high power for 60 to 90 seconds. Cooking time varies significantly by microwave wattage; check after 60 seconds.

7.The Pão de Queijo is done when it has puffed up and the outside looks set, though it will remain soft inside. If they are still liquidy in the center, microwave in 10-second increments until cooked through.
